Restored 1973 MGB convertible with a few improvements!
Engine & transmission...
The vehicle started out as a 73 MGB roadster with the 1800 dual SU carb engine and overdrive transmission. It has been lowered and the drive-train changed to GM with the engine (2.8L TBI) and transmission T5 WC 5 speed from an 88 Camaro. The GM engine is in excellent condition and has been well maintained. As for fuel consumption, the engine/tranny combo is lighter than the original combination and gets better fuel economy. The old original drive-train has been replaced because of reliability and performance issues. The original equipment required constant attention (fuel pump, SU carbs, electrical). With the newer GM engine and transmission and the electronic ignition, parts are plentiful and the engine has been around a long time.
Body...
The body and frame have little to no rust. Engine, trunk compartments and car bottom recently treated with spray coating. New convertible top, tires. The sheet metal has all been replaced from the transmission tunnel out to the sills including all the lower quarter panels. Car currently has a matte black finish. The roadster has what is called a stow-a-way top. The support bows slide into side sleeves and the top is draped over the top and fastened at the appropriate points. It all stows safely in the trunk. The car has a tonneau cover as well. we use it exclusively as it attaches in minutes.
Suspension & Brakes...
The vehicle has been lowered and has negative camber lower A-arms.

Custom "cherry bomb" exhaust.

There are also many extras included in this price including another set of 4 chrome rims, as well as the original 4 aluminum rims, 2 extra brand new tires, another front valance, another bonnet, and another boot lid as well as spare engine parts like throttle bodies, injectors, computer, and distributors.
